Run For a Cause- Bay to Bay 10K Run & 5K Run/Walk hosted by the Chincoteague Island Family YMCA. Fun family activities will be available after the races and will include an Easter Egg Hunt for the little ones. All proceeds support the Chincoteague YMCA financial assistance program.

Plein Air Art Show - The 2nd week of September brings more than 50 fine artists from the Mid-Atlantic and beyond to paint "en plein air" (French for painting outdoors) on Chincoteague and Assateague. Chincoteague Island Police Dept Ride for Kids Toy Run - Depart at 11am at WalMart in Onley, and take a nice ride to Chincoteague, where lunch will be served for all participants. Entry fee is 1 new, unopened toy, and this will help make less fortunate children have a very merry Christmas.

Many restaurants, hotels and clubs offer various New Year's Eve celebrations. The Town of Ocean City also hosts a New Year's Eve Fireworks Show at Northside Park to celebrate the new year, which is accompanied by live entertainment, warm hot chocolate, and the opportunity to ride through the Winterfest of Lights.
